Richard Dinsdale “Boom Boom” EP – Out Now.

Toolroom welcome back one of its favourite son’s…. Richard Dinsdale. Still riding high from the massive success of his debut artist album on ‘Leader’s Of The New School’, Richard has been busy grafting hard in the studio and clocking up the air miles, travelling to all four corners of the globe.

The ‘Boom Boom EP’ is an outstanding two track EP. Lead track ‘Boom Boom’ cleverly incorporates ingredients of multiple genres, both in and around the dance music spectrum. The track concentrates more on a deep and driving low-slung groove with massive sub-bass and a chanting vocal loop that embeds itself deep into your brain. The ever reliable D-Unity with whom Richard has co-produced on several occasions this year are on the remix duties, turning in a more techno influenced take on the original with a very quirky lead stab featuring heavily throughout the mix. Richard himself strips the track back to create the dub mix which is quite hypnotic and would be perfect for those big main room warm up sets.

Second track ‘Orthodox’ is more up-tempo with its samba rhythms and deep chords that pull you in and wrap you in rolling waves of sound, featuring cleverly placed church choir style vocals. With a tense, lengthy drop that prompts dance floor carnage when the bass rushes back in.

With 5 huge singles already finished for the summer, and tours of Asia, South America and Australia confirmed, James looks set to make this year even bigger than the last.

“Walky Talky” is the first album from 25 year old Southampton based producer and DJ, James Talk. Released through his successful Spoken Recordings, it showcases a selection of house music from across the spectrum.

“I wanted my artist album to be about the dance floor, I make club records, I’m not a pop producer or a hip hop producer, so I had no interest in even attempting these genre’s. I wanted to give people 10 dance records with each one suitable for a different time of night at a club, but still making each one different and identifiable.”

StoneBridge latest track ' You Don't Know' set to be released soon on Stoneyboy Records. The follow up single to the summer smash hit 'SOS'

StoneBridge is a man who lives and breathes house music. Equally as happy in the clubs or in the charts, when you need music guaranteed to move your soul then StoneBridge will deliver. Now, the Swedish house maestro unleashes his new single ‘You Don’t Know’ following in the footsteps of the last club smash ‘SOS’ and ready to set the UK dancefloors alight once again.

‘SOS’ was one of the year’s biggest funky house floorfillers. It hit #5 in the UK Club Chart back in January then crashed in again at #1 in July. It was the #1 selling track on Beatport for 3 weeks and was licensed to over 20 countries worldwide, showing the truly global appeal of the StoneBridge sound.

Now ‘You Don’t Know’ looks set to repeat this success. This funky house monster features the expressive and powerful vocals of Kenny Thomas alongside the trademark StoneBridge funky bassline, layered, atmospheric synths and unforgettable riffs, not to mention the pumping house beats! As a master of his art, StoneBridge employs all the tricks he’s learned over the years to create a sexy, intoxicating vibe guaranteed to work on the dancefloors.

The ‘You Don’t Know’ remix package is impressive to say the least. The Club Mix sees StoneBridge return with a slightly tougher sound designed to bring out the song and rock the big rooms. NYC’s Hott22 give the track a proper Ibiza lick, providing a sun drenched mix with an uplifting summer vibe. Wawa are finally getting the recognition they deserve and this solid funky house mix shows why. The team from Melbourne’s Vicious Records, Lorne Padman and Christian Luke turns in a true stomper with a summer flavour and seriously phat bassline. Finally, Robbie Rivera, fresh from his Juicy residency in Ibiza steps up to deliver one of his best vocal mixes ever. Just watch this one go off on a big sound system.

Since the mid ‘80’s StoneBridge has taken house music and introduced the genre to millions of clubbers across the globe. From his first hit remix of the seminal house classic, ‘Show Me Love’ by Robin S, to his most recent UK top 10 hits ‘Put ‘Em High’, ‘Take Me Away’ and the club smash ‘SOS’, StoneBridge has consistently created sexy, pumping house music, designed to make you move!

The event is the first one that solely celebrates those DJs that influenced dance music globally. Up to now it´s one of the most important and internationally acclaimed events and further on undoubtedly the hub of the dance music industry during the summer months. Besides that the event stands for a family reunion amongst the DJ collective that invested so much creative work for the sake of the industry. Past winners and their success underestimate the importance of the Award as such: Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Carl Cox and many more enjoyed beeing elected by those who listen to and finally love the music they made.

The public voting already started on www.djawards.com  and will close on August 12th.
